Fahadh Faasil is an Indian film actor known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He made his debut in his father Fazil's Kaiyethum Doorath (2002), which turned out to be a commercial disaster in the Kerala box-office. After a sabbatical of six years, Fahadh returned to cinema with the anthology film Kerala Cafe (2009). He made a mark for himself with performances in Chaappa Kurishu (2011), 22 Female Kottayam, Diamond Necklace (2012), Artist and North 24 Kaatham (2013). He won the Kerala State Film Awards twice: Second Best Actor Award for his role in Akam and the Best Actor Award for his roles in Artist and North 24 Kaatham. Personal Life Fahadh was born in 1983 as the son of popular Malayalam film director Fazil, and Rozina. He has two sisters, Ahameda and Fathima, and a brother, Ismail. He completed his schooling from SDV Central School Alleppey, Lawrence School Ooty and Choice School Thripunithara. Later he went on to pursue his degree from Sanatana Dharma College Alleppey and M.A. in Philosophy from Miami University. On 20 January 2014, it was announced on his Facebook page that he got engaged to Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim. The engagement took place on February 8, and the two got married on August 21. Career Life Fahadh stepped into the industry at the age of 17 with the film 'Kaiyethum Doorath'. directed by his father Fazil in 2002. After a 7-year hiatus, Fahadh returned to the industry with the short film ' Kerala Cafe' released in 2009. He gained the attention of both his fans and critics through his astounding performances. Later he played the lead in the suspenseful movie Chaappa Kurishu in 2011. By playing conventional roles, Fahad became popular among audiences. At the same time, he gained popularity among audiences and critics alike. For his work in Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, he received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in the year of 2018.In 2018, he played the roles of Prakashan in the top-grossing Malayalam movie Njan Prakashan and Aby in Varathan. In 2021, the actor gained appreciation for his stellar performance in the psycho-thriller drama Joji in 2021. He was last seen in the film Malik and Malayan Kunjhu, released in 2022. The two films were box office successes.
