Biography

H. Vinoth is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and story writer who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. In the films Pachchak Kuthira and Goli Soda, he served as R. Parthiepan's and Vijay Milton's assistant director. He is renowned for the originality of the screenplay and plot he wrote for the films Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaram Ondru. He had earned the Vijay Award for Sathuranga Vettai's Best Crew. Soon after his initial two blockbuster films, he teamed up with Kollywood's top star, Ajith Kumar, for three consecutive films. This collaboration helped him establish himself as a remarkable filmmaker and brought him critical praise and widespread recognition. Personal Life Vinoth was born on September 5, 1981, in Vellore's Vaniyambadi. His father's name is Harimoorthy, and he pursued his education at the neighbourhood school in Chennai. He received his bachelor's degree from a prestigious university, and he then began pursuing his aspirations in the film industry. Career Vinoth made his Tamil film debut in 2014 with Sathuranga Vettai, which received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both critics and audiences.It was called a "con flick." Vinoth remarked, "The rush at which we all strive to earn cash in our lives is the subject of this movie." Despite the fact that it was a heist movie, the filmmaker claimed to have made it "as hilarious as practicable" and that it had been delivered. And after two years, he created a proper script for what had previously occurred in India. His second big break came from the film "Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru," which starred Karthi, Rakul Preet Singh, and Abhimanyu Singh as the main antagonists, respectively. Karthi was really surprised when Vinoth read him a story in the beginning of 2016 and agreed to work with him following the success of Kaashmora and Kaatru Veliyidai. The plot of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru was based on real-life incidents from Project Bawaria, which deals with dacoit crime and the Tamil Nadu police's effective control of it. It earned overwhelmingly favourable reviews after its debut. Karthi's portrayal was praised positively, and as a result, he was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Tamil) and earned the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor. Vinoth told Ajith a con man's tale during Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru's post-production. Ajith, however, rejected it and proposed that he remake Pink in Tamil, claiming that he had already made comparable movies. He liked his writing style, according to Ajith, and he wanted to be the director in particular. Vinoth was first apprehensive about doing a remake, but after Ajith requested it and he watched the original several times, he agreed to work with Bayview Projects, Boney Kapoor's production company. Boney Kapoor, Ajith, and Vinoth signed a pact for two movies, starting with Nerkonda Paarvai and the expensive action drama Valimai. On August 8, 2019, Nerkonda Paarvai was launched, and both audiences and critics gave it high marks. The movie did really well at the box office. On February 25, 2022, Valimai was published to mixed reviews. The same group, which included Vinoth, Boney Kapoor, Ghibran, Nirav Shah, and Vijay Velukutty, returned after Valimai to work on Thunivu, which was written during a COVID break and told to Ajith while Valimai was being filmed. The film in question is a heist thriller based on a real-life scenario that was inspired by the 1987 burglary of the Punjab Bank. Then they revealed the title of the film, Thunivu, which stars Ajith Kumar and Manju Warrier and will be released on Pongal 2023, clashing with Thalapthy's Varisu.
