Nithya Menen is an Indian film actress who acts in South Indian films.She made her film debut in Malayalam Cinema in 2008 with the film Aakasha Gopuram directed by K.P.Kumaran. Nithya Menen was born and brought up in Bangalore, Karanataka to Malayali parents. After completing her school education from Mount Carmel College, Banglore and she took Mass Commuciation In Journalism from Manipal Institute of Communication.
Career Life
After completing her studies, she got interested to be a filmmaker to express her ideas. So she had a plan to do a course in cinematography at the FTI, Pune, but it didn't happen. Earlier, Nithaya Menon appeared on screen as a child artist in the movie Hanuman, when she was eight years old.
Then, she got a chance to pair with Mohanlal in 2008 for 'Aakasha Gopuram', directed by KP Kumaran. Its an off-beat film, and Nithya performed well and many were impressed by her performance. She also got nominated for best supporting actress award category in the 57th Filmfare Awards.
In 2011, her romantic comedy film Ala Modalaindi directed by Nandini Reddy was released and it became a hit. Then, she came with Santhosh Sivan's Urumi and her next release was '180', which was a bilingual Tamil-Telugu film which had Siddharth & Priya Anand alongside her, directed by Jayendra.
