Ranbir Kapoor is an Indian actor who performs in Hindi-language movies. Kapoor is the son of the late actor Rish Kapoor and Neetu Singh. He is one of the most talented and highest paid actors in the industry. Kapoor is best known for his performances in films such as Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani. Personal Life Ranbir Kapoor was born to actors Rishi Kapoor and actress Neetu Singh in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has a sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. He did his schooling from Bombay Scottish School in Mahim, Mumbai and then he went to New York for getting training in acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Ranbir Kapoor married actress Alia Bhatt in 2022. In the same year, the couple blessed a daughter, named Raha. They are among the most trending celebrity couples in India and people's love towards them is well evident as the RSS has honored them by inviting to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir Ceremony. Career Life Before he started his career as an actor, Ranbir worked as an assistant with Sanjay Leela Bansali in the film Black. He then debuted in his first film as an actor in Saawariya in the year 2007. It was declared a flop at the box office. Then in the year 2008 he starred in a comedy film Bachna Ae Haseeno which was an average at the box office. In the year 2009, he starred in the film Wake Up Sid. It was successful at the box office. This film gave him the nomination for Best Actor in various award ceremonines. Then he was seen in the film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, which was one of the biggest hits of the year. He also did a film Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year which was a flop at the box office.Then in the year 2010 he was seen in the film Rajneeti which was declared a blockbuster movie. He then played the lead role in Imtiaz Ali's Rock Star in 2010. The film was well received in theatres, and the actor received a Critics' Choice Award at the 57th Filmfare Awards. In 2012, he worked alongside actresses Ileana D Cruz and Priyanka Chopra in the film 'Barfi'.After that, he acted in the romantic-comedy film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani  in 2013. This film was one of the super-hit movies of his career, and it ranks as one of Bollywood`s highest-grossing films ever. Following a year`s break,the actor came back to the industry and did some hit films such as  ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’,‘Roy’ , ‘Bombay Velvet’ , ‘Tamasha’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. In the year 2018, Kapoor appeared in a titular role in the film 'Sanju'was a bio-pic directed by Rajkumar Hirani.The film was praised by critics and was a major commercial success, grossing over ₹586.85 crores on a budget of ₹96 crores. After the failure of his big-budget ‘Shamshera'in 2022, he was next seen in the film ' ‘Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva’. The film was well-recieved in theatres and grossed over ₹431 crores on a budget of ₹375−400 crores.
