Srikanth Deva Biography

Srikanth Deva is an Indian music director, primarily known for his contributions to the Tamil film industry. He entered the industry as a music director with the Tamil movie "Doubles" in 2000. He hails from a musical family, being the son of composer Deva, nephew of the renowned music director duo Sabesh–Murali, and cousin of actor Jai. In 2023, Srikanth Deva received the Best Music Director award from the Indian Government for his exceptional work on the Tamil short film "Karuvarai".

Personal Life

Srikanth Deva attended Santhome Higher Secondary School before moving to Valasaravakkam. He completed his 8th to 10th grades at St. John's Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Alwarthirunagar. Srikanth married Febi Mani on 21st February 2005 in Chennai, and they have a daughter named Varanya, born in 2007.

Early Life

During his youth, Srikanth Deva played musical instruments in various events organized by prominent musicians like Gangai Amaran, Deepan Chakravarthy, and Malaysia Vasudevan. He also formed a band called "Surabi" with his friends.

Career

Srikanth Deva commenced his career in the film industry as a keyboardist in the movie "Pudhu Manithan," performing the song "Angam Unathu Angam." He then collaborated with his father, Deva, on over 300 films. His debut as a music director came in 2000 with the film "Doubles," directed by Pandiarajan. Subsequently, he worked on projects like "Kuththu" (2004) starring Silambarasan and "M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi" (2004), which earned him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Music Director. Srikanth Deva reached a milestone with his 100th film, "Priyamudan Priya," released on 5th August 2023.

Cooku with Comali 5

Currently, Srikanth is participating in the fifth season of the popular cooking show "Cooku with Comali." He will showcase his culinary skills as part of the Cook group on the show.
