Vadakkan Story

Vadakkan is a Malayalam supernatural thriller drama directed by Sajeed A and starring Kishore and Sruthy Menon in the lead roles.

The screenplay for the movie was written by State Award-winning writer Unni R, and produced by Jaydeep Singh and Bhavya Nidhi Sharma under the banner of Offbeat Studios. The film's technical crew includes composer Bijibal, cinematographer Keiko Nakahara and Academy Award-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty.

Movie Plot
The story follows a seasoned paranormal investigator who arrives to probe a series of unexplained deaths that have left the island's residents terrified and silent. What begins as a routine investigation quickly spirals into a chilling descent into the unknown, as he uncovers cryptic symbols, whispered legends, and a deep-rooted conspiracy that blurs the line between myth and reality. With every step, the island seems to pull him deeper into its darkness, forcing him to confront forces far beyond human comprehension. Vadakkan is a slow-burning mystery laced with atmospheric dread, psychological tension, and supernatural terror a tale where nothing is as it seems and escape might not be an option.


Awards & Achievements
'Vadakkan' has been selected as one of the seven films to be showcased in gala screenings by the Fantastic Pavilion at this year's Marché Du Film (2024). The film also clinched the Best Supernatural Thriller Award at the Fright Night Film Fest 2024.
