Band Melam Story

Band Melam is a Telugu romantic musical entertainer movie directed by Sathish Javvaji. The movie casts Harsh Roshan and Sridevi in the main lead roles, along with Sai Kumar, and many others have seen in supporting roles. The music was composed by Vijai Bulganin while the cinematography was done by Satish Mutyala, and it is edited by Siva Mupparaju. The film is produced by Kona Venkat under the Kona Film Corporation banner.

Story

Yadagiri, also known as Giri (Harsh Roshan), and Raji, also known as Rajamma (Sridevi Apalla), are cousins who share a close bond. While Raji’s father Sai (Sai Kumar) struggles with poverty, Giri’s father (Goparaju Vijay) belongs to a once-respected zamindar family and supports Sai’s family during difficult times. However, Sai never truly shows gratitude towards Giri’s family. As time passes, Giri’s family gradually loses its wealth and status, eventually falling below Sai’s financial position. This change in fortune makes Sai want to keep his daughter Raji away from Giri.

Raji, who is intelligent and focused on her studies, moves ahead in her education, while Giri, driven by his passion for music, neglects academics. During this phase, Raji grows close to one of her classmates instead of Giri, but she eventually becomes a victim of betrayal in an unexpected situation.

How did Giri’s zamindar family fall into poverty? Why did Sai begin looking down upon the very family that once supported him? What struggles did Giri face because of his love for music? How did Raji’s educational journey shape her life? What kind of humiliation did she face in the village after being betrayed by the person she trusted? And when Raji gets trapped in a difficult situation, how does Giri’s family stand by her? The rest of the story reveals how the relationship between Giri and Raji ultimately finds its conclusion.
