Biography

Anushka Sharma is an Indian film actress and producer, who predominantly works in Hindi films. Anushka is one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses in India. Anushka made her acting debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), which earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination. Anushka earned praise and several acting nominations for her performances in the 2015 crime thriller NH10, which also marked her production debut, and the 2016 romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Personal Life    Anushka Sharma was born in an Army family to Colonel Ajay Kumar and Ashima Sharma in Uttar Pradesh.Her father works in Miltary and her brother Carnesh Sharma is a film producer in Hindi Film Industry. The actress completed her schooling and graduated from Banglore. Later, she moved to Mumbai to pursue modeling. Actress married legendary cricketer Virat Kohli in 2017 and gave birth to a daughter named Vamika in 2021.  Career  Before entering the film industry, Anushka Sharma was already one of the most prominent faces in the modeling industry. She made her first debut to Bollywood with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008. The film was a super hit and  Anushka was highly appreciated for her performance in the film. Later, she appeared in the film Badmaash Company, the film flopped at the box office.    In 2011, she acted in the two films Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl and Band Baaja Baaraat and shared on-screen space with actor Ranveer Singh. Both of the films became blockbuster hits in her acting career. Then, she appeared in a supporting role in the film JabTak Jaan, directed by Yash Chopra. Bollywood King Khan  Shah Rukh Khan and Actress Katrina Kaif played a lead roles in the film. The actress won, the Filmfare award for  Best actor award for her performance in this film. Since then, she acted in many films such as Patiala House, Bombay Velvet, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil',NH-10, Neil Bhoopalam,Dil Dhadakne Do and Jab Harry Met Sejal.    In 2018, Anushka acted in the films like Sui Dhaaga: Made in India, Zero, Sanju, and Pari. As an established actor in the Bollywood film industry, she performed stellar in films like PK and Sultan. Both films were declared super hits and came under the list of highest-grossing movies in the Indian Film Industry. She has received much critical appreciation and nominations for many films.    Producer  Apart from being an actor, Anushka Sharma launched a production company named ' Clean Slate Films' in 2015. She set up the production house with her brother Carnesh Sharma.
