Farhan Akhtar is a film director, producer, actor, and playback singer. He is the son of Bollywood of scriptwriter Javed Akhtar and actress Honey Irani. Farhan came to the film industry as an assistant director in the film 'Lamhe'. He made his directorial debut in 2001 with Dil Chahta Hai. Career Life Farhan Akhtar Stepped into the film industry as an assistant director at the age of 17. He made his directorial debut with Dil Chahta Hai in 2001. Farhan produced it under his production company Excel Entertainment. The film was a big hit at the box-office and won the National film award for best film of that year. Apart from directing films, Farhan made his acting debut in the 2008 film 'Rock On'. Billed as a musical drama, Farhan played a lead role alongside Arjun Rampal and Prachi Desai. Later, he was seen in the films like Karthik Calling Karthik and Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara. Released in 2011, the Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara was one of the most successful movies of his career. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles the film was one of the most-talked-about movies in Bollywood. After then, he appeared in a Biopic 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' in 2013. The film featured Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor in significant roles, it was a commercial hit at the box office.
