Biography

Mohit Malik was born on 11 January 1984 in Delhi, India, into a Punjabi family. He spent his early years in Delhi, where he completed his education before moving to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. Career Beginnings Mohit Malik began his acting journey in 2005 with the television show Miilee on Star Plus. He gradually built his presence on Indian television with roles in popular shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, where he played Bharat, as well as Pari Hoon Main and Phulwa. Breakthrough & Popular Roles Mohit gained widespread recognition with his powerful performance as Samrat Singh Rathore in Doli Armaano Ki (2013–2015). His portrayal of an abusive husband earned him critical acclaim and awards, including the Gold Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role. He later showcased his versatility by playing the lead role of Sikandar Singh Gill in Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala (2018–2020), a character loved for its emotional depth and musical charm. In recent years, he appeared as Kunal Malhotra in Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si (2023–2024) and portrayed Lord Shiva in Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki (2025). Transition to Films & Web Series Expanding beyond television, Mohit Malik entered the digital space with projects like Cyber Vaar (2022) and the musical thriller Chamak. He also announced his move into Bollywood with upcoming films such as Azaad and Mirzapur: The Film. Personal Life Mohit Malik married actress Addite Malik (formerly Addite Shirwaikar) on 1 December 2010. The couple welcomed their son, Ekbir Malik, on 27 April 2021. Apart from acting, the couple is actively involved in the hospitality business, with Addite co-owning popular restaurants in Mumbai.
