Mohit Suri was born on 11 April 1981 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a family deeply rooted in the Indian film industry. He is the nephew of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and producer Mukesh Bhatt , and cousin to actors like Emraan Hashmi , Pooja Bhatt , and Alia Bhatt . Mohit grew up surrounded by cinema, which influenced his interest in filmmaking from a young age. Before entering direction, he worked in various departments within Vishesh Films, gaining hands-on experience. Career Mohit Suri began his career as an assistant director at Vishesh Films. He assisted on films such as "Raaz" and "Kasoor" before making his directorial debut. He is known for his distinct storytelling style, emotional depth, and soulful music in his films. Suri became one of the most successful directors associated with romantic thrillers and intense dramas in the 2000s and 2010s.
