Pallavi Subhash Biography

Pallavi Subhash is an Indian film and soap opera actress. A Maharashtrian model-turned actor, Pallavi Subhash has performed in nearly a dozen Marathi films, TV serials, commercials, and plays. She has become popular for the roles of Gauri (protagonist) in Karam Apnaa Apnaa and Meera Khandelwal (the second main antagonist) in Kasamh Se.

Career

She debuted with the serial Tumhari Disha. She was noticed by Ekta Kapoor in that serial and got selected for the next serial, Karam Apna Apna  in which she played the central role of Gauri. She has also worked in the serial Basera in which she was seen as Ketaki Sanghvi. Pallavi earlier appeared in the Marathi serials Char Diwas Sasuche on ETV Marathi and Adhuri Ek Kahani on Zee Marathi.

She later acted in Godh Bharaai in which she has a chance to play her age, but it did badly  and was pulled off air. She played Rukmini, Lord Krishna's wife in thr mythological series Mahabharat. She was earlier supposed to play the role of Princess Amba in the series, but had to opt out of it because her prior commitments clashed with the shoot of the show.

She made her film debut in 2005 in the Marathi film Kunku Zale Vairi and was nominated for the ‘Best Actress Zee Gaurav Award’ for her performance in the film. In the next year she acted in another film Aaila Re!! . After seven years she made a comeback to films with three Marathi projects, Atul Kale's Asa Me Tashi Tu, Tejas Deoskar's Premasutra and Gashmeer Mahajan's Dhava Dhava Khun Khun. 

Asa Me Tashi Tu and Premasutra were romantic films. In the former she played an urban career oriented Punjabi girl for which she had to speak Marathi with a Punjabi accent and a Goan catholic girl named Saniya in the latter. She had shot for two films with actor Sachit Patil which did not release. She also acted in a Tamil film Om with Arjun Sarja.
