Biography

Ram Charan is a film actor. He is the son of legendary actor Megastar Chiranjeevi and Surekha, the grandson of Allu Ramalingaih, and the nephew of actors Nagendra Babu and Pawan Kalyan. He has two sisters, Sushmita and Srija. His cousin, Allu Arjun, is also a Tollywood actor. He made his film debut with Chirutha. Ram Charan studied at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School, Chennai, and he was brought up there. He is famous for dancing in the Telugu film industry, and he has good skills in martial arts. He knows horse riding well, and the person who encouraged him to get involved in horseback riding was Prabhu, a Tamil actor. Career Ram Charan Tej made his film debut in Chiruta (2007), for which he won numerous awards, including the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and the Cine MAA Award for Best Male Debut, as well as praise from superstar Rajnikanth, who said Charan's acting in that film was comparable to that of someone with over 70 films experience. The second film, Magadheera (2009), was a blockbuster hit and the first-ever Telugu film to collect over INR 100 crores. Personal Life Ram Charan is married to Upasana Kamineni, who serves as the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity and the Chief Editor of B Positive magazine. Upasana is the daughter of Shobana Kamineni and the granddaughter of Prathap C. Reddy, the Founder and Executive Chairman of Apollo Hospitals. The couple got engaged in December 2011 and exchanged vows on 14 June 2012 at the Temple Trees Farm House in Hyderabad. Exciting news came on 12 December 2022 when Ram Charan announced that they were expecting their first child. The anticipation reached its peak when, on 20 June 2023, they welcomed their daughter.
