Tharun, is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He has also appeared in Tamil, Malayalam and Oriya films. He has received three state Nandi Awards and the National Film Award for his works.
Tarun was born January 8, 1983, in a Telugu Hindu family, he is a South Indian film actor and is the son of Roja Ramani (Telugu/Tamil/Kannada actress) who works in Telugu & Tamil cinema. He came to prominence as a child artist in Mani Ratnam's Anjali. Tarun acted as the elder brother of the mentally challenged Anjali, earning him and his co-stars, Shyamili and Shruthi, National Film Awards for Best Child Artist in 1991.
Tarun reappeared on the movie scene as a hero in 2000 with a hit in his debut venture - Nuvve Kavali. He has acted in many Telugu as well as Tamil movies.
